What changes and what has already changed us.

Life renews itself continuously just like the skin, but it cannot change the soul both fascinated and terrified by the repetition of technological events. At this moment we endure the superficial interpretation and judgment of events, trying to attach a label to our artistic “body”. But what “body” are we really wearing? It’s rather strange being 37 and recognizing one’s artistic identity in different “bodies”. The skeleton which holds all the parts together is undeniably my love for Art. This is clear from the course of my studies: -1994 I obtained my school leaving certificate in Applied Arts. -1998 Degree with full marks in Scenography at the “Academy of Art” in Venice. Following my passion for the Theatre I qualified as “Technical technician” in Theatre Scenography, which gave me the opportunity to work in theatres in the Emilia Romagna region. In September ’99 I moved to Milan, where I worked as a computer illustrator. I developed a multimedia CD “Didi Arte” which I presented at the Children’s Book Fair in Bologna in the year 2000. The CD Rom Demo, created with Painter 6, is a journey for Children, guiding them through the history of art. I have worked as a freelance illustrator for various magazines and for an English Web site specializing in children’s stories (kidszip.com). I have taken part in a Painter Workshop in Paris as Italian artist in the digital illustration section, and some of my illustrations have been published in the Painter 7 Wow! Book (a book published in the US) and in EFX ART & DESIGN (a Swedish magazine). During my other work experiences, in May-June 2001 in Bologna, I presented an art exhibition of my works titled “the Body and its Double”. The pieces are inspired by the double-identity of the body which becomes all-one with its clothes. In 2003 I was selected as Italian Digital Artist during the V SALON INTERNACIONAL DE ARTE DIGITAL, held in Centro Cultural Pablo de la Torriente Brau in Cuba. In 2004 I was nominated among the 5 world digital artists by Mac Art & Design Magazine (Sweden). In 2006 I held a Personal Exhibition with the title “Going Beyond in a Paper Garment” from July 21st until September 3rd at Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport (Gorizia), with several reviews in newspapers, including “Il Piccolo” of Monfalcone and “Il Messaggero”, and on various local web sites. In 2007 I was selected as Italian artist for an Environmental Art Workshop from April 16-27 2007 at Parco Montesole with the work “Contenitore d’umanità” (“Container of Humanity”). The project included an artistic twinning between the Fine Arts Academies of Bologna and Munich. In May I collaborated on the production of a film for production company Horizon, creating the graphic art for various architectural designs. In the same year I took part in a collective exhibition “Libri d’artista” from June 24-30 at the Graphic Arts Experimentation Laboratory at Graffio Gallery, Via S. Apollonia 23/25, Bologna. In the summer of 2007 I took part in an international collective exhibition organised by Art Process at the old fish market in Trapani from July 7 to August 5 with the works “Organi” (“Organs”). In autumn 2007, I held a Solo Exhibition “flesh pink” in Sasso Marconi (BO) In 2008 I was selected for International Competition for young Sculptor – Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation in Milan. I also have been selected and has participated in the following Co-op Art Shows: “ZooArte ” in Cuneo (July 9-19, 2009). Art piece presented: “Eriofido”. At the “Accademia delle Belle Arti” (Art Accademy) in Bologna (September 25 to October 14, 2010. Art piece presented: “L’uomo stereometrico”. “Affari di cuore” in Latina (February 5 to 28, 2011). Art piece presented: “Anima bianca”. “Taccuini del Mediterraneo” at the “Galleria Spazzapan” in Gradisca d’Isonzo (September 2011). This was a travelling Art Show. “Antinomia della trama” at the BT’F Gallery in Bologna (November 18 to December 7, 2011). In 2012 “Ecoanimali” at Spazio UN1CO in bologna and “SMALL SIZE WORKS, FIBER ART FROM ASIA AND EUROPE” in Lithuania at JANINA MONKUTE-MARKS MUSEUM. I continuously renew my artistic soul in order to maintain an open mind towards the new technological “bodies”.
